“Three Dixon Magic routines that have been in my work for a combined 100 years.”

Smell This
A card is selected (say the 4♣︎)
The audience member is asked to rub the card on themselves for a couple of seconds to pick up their scent.
The selection is lost in the deck.
You now explain, “There are many way to mark cards, but the most sophisticated is by smell. And that’s the only card that smells like …you.”
A brief (or not so brief) “sniff” of the spectator follows.
Then you bring the fan of cards up to your nose and …sniff. One card pops out. The selection.
“You know, the last person who picked the 4♣︎ didn’t smell as good as you. They smelled like booze.” And up until that moment, your hands which had been seen (and were) empty except for deck of cards, now produce a bottle o’ booze from the deck of cards.
Love a good kicker? Of course you do. The bottle contains the 4♣︎.
About Smell This …
⚫️ Can be a “booze” bottle, a perfume or cologne bottle, even a small travel deodorant. The only requirement is it be roughly the size of a deck of cards or smaller.
⚫️ Maximum adaptability! Meaning the “sniffing” can be done in half a second and at a distance, or leaning in and several seconds for a more over the top comedy presentation. It’s 100% your call. Let your audience and your character be your guide.
⚫️ It’s easy. (That’s not a requirement, but it never hurts.)

Stick This
A card is selected, signed and lost in the deck. You then explain:
“There are rules in life. Important rules which must be followed. Rules like: Don’t run with scissors. Don’t order French onion soup on a first date. Always smell the milk first. But the biggest rule is: If your name is on it, it’s yours. You wrote your name on that card, so there is no legal or moral doubt here. It is yours. Let me show you how powerful this rule is.”
You hand the spectator a small sheet of one inch dot stickers and have him initial it. That sticker is stuck to a random card — NOT the one he selected and signed.
“But, of course, this violates the great law. You signed the two of spades. Your sticker is on the jack of diamonds. This is an unstable condition that cannot exist for long. Watch!”
And in an instant …the blink of an eye …the jack of diamonds with the initialed sticker transforms in the signed two of spades, now with the initialed sticker.
About Stick This …
⚫️ Plays well in stand-up strolling.
⚫️ You finish clean
⚫️ Moderate skill requirements and several handlings for different skill levels
⚫️ Leaves the spectator with a cool souvenir and incredible story to share.

And finally …
You’re Not Gonna Believe This
My three decade workhorse of a card routine. If I’m performing close- up magic, 9 times out of 10, I’m performing this.
You have a card selected, signed, and lost in the deck.
“Most of my magic requires demanding sleight of hand. Not this trick. This trick is pure math and applied psychology. I’ll show you what I mean. Name a number from 1-10.”
Someone says, “Four.”
“You’re not going to believe this. People always say four. Always.”
You then fairly count down to the fourth card. It’s the signed selection.
The selection is lost back in the deck.
“Like I said, this trick is pure math and applied psychology. I’ll do it again. Name a number from 1-10.”
Someone says, “Eight.”
“You’re not going to believe this. People always say eight after they say four. Always. Why? Because it’s the second number. Number two. And two time four is eight. It works because it’s science. Always.”
You then fairly count down to the eighth card. It’s the signed selection.
The selection is lost back in the deck.
“Pure math. I’ll do it one more time. Name a number from 1-10.”
“Five.”
“You’re not going to believe this. After people say four, then they say eight, then they always say five. Always. Why? Basic algebra.”
You then fairly count down to the fifth card. It is NOT the signed selection. It’s the (say) four of spades.
“You’re not going to believe this …in algebra, your card EQUALS the four of spades. OK. I see we have trust issues. I’ll prove it.”
You (or the spectator if you like) deals off one card of the top to spell the four of spades.
“F-O-U-R-O-F-S-P-A-D-E-S.”
And on that last S comes the signed selection.
About You’re Not Gonna Believe This …
⚫️ It’s a workhorse for close-up card work. Shuffled deck material that kills.
⚫️ Have a signed ambitious card routine? Of course you do. This is the perfect segment to plug into it.
⚫️ The interactive nature of the routine, along with ridiculous nature of the method claim, make it fertile ground for laughs. In other words, you are telling this a bodacious, over the top lie as the method, AND THEN YOU ARE PROVING IT’S TRUE!!
⚫️ Easy? Well, not exactly. But if you want to learn two powerful classic utilitarian card moves from someone with over three decades using them– moves that will open doors to hundreds of routines to you, well, then yes, you need this.
From top pro Michael Misko
“If someone challenges me with their own deck of cards, this is the trick I do. It has been in my repertoire ever since I learned it twenty years ago. It kills because it kills, but when they realize you just did it with THEIR deck? It vaporizes.”
What you get:
