A few months back I booked my first cruise ship contract with a new line.
Great cruise line.
They treat the acts wonderfully.
Gorgeous stages.
And a difference: The rules of this line dictate acts are not allowed to bring passengers on stage. So those wonderful audience participation centric routines I’ve developed over decades and are workhorses of my act? Well, as far as the stage is concerned …bye-bye.
As I prepared my show for this new venue I decided to bring back a journeyman sleight of hand piece from previous years. One of my several handlings/variations of Vernon’s Travelers.
Key phrase: “ONE OF”
Fourteen years ago I published the original edition of this book. This new version has 14 years of additional work, advancements, streamlining, and experience. This is much, much better.
AND an accompanying online video.
Several handlings are in this new ebook, including variations where no cards are palmed from the deck to get the cards to the pockets.
You read that right.
Palming is replaced with, well, what can I call it?
High-Level Deceptive Sneakiness.
Table of Contents
Introduction to this BOOK
Introduction to this TRICK
Version 1.0 Single-Handed Travelers
What would happen if I wanted to perform Travelers with a single palm from the deck?
Single Handed Progressions & Traveling Outside Travelers
What would happen if you combined Travelers with other routines, such as Card To Wallet, Multiple Selections, and 51 Cards To Pocket?
Version 2.0 We Discuss (And Diss?) Repeat Travelers
Version 3.0 Bionic Travelers Unraveled
What would happen if Travelers looked like real magic and not manipulation… because it had virtually no manipulation and not one card is palmed from the deck?
The cards are seen going into the deck. They vanish from the deck. Guess what? They are already in your pocket. One easily made gaffe card does 90% of the work.
Plays to the back of the room.
And an Encore
Version 4.0 Othello’s Travelers
Two cards travels to two separate pockets then fuse into a single card in the volunteer’s hand. Warning: The method alone is a very guilty pleasure.
